Personal Property & Liability Insurance
You work hard for your money and your belongings. Protect your valuable assets with sound coverage provided by Erie Insurance. Policies available from The ERIE include:
Mastercover Policy SM (Personal Catastrophe Liability)
You have to look no further than your local paper or the Internet to read about the barrage of lawsuits in our court systems today. Settlements in the millions of dollars are more commonplace than ever before. What if you accidentally injure someone and you are the one being sued? Your auto and homeowner's policies may provide substantial liability coverage, but it may not be enough.
Erie Insurance Group's Mastercover Policy provides an additional $1 million or more of coverage to your personal liability. While it doesn't replace your auto or homeowner's policy, it does provide additional coverage to keep you and your family even more financially secure.
Boat Protector
If you own a boat, you know the sport can be relaxing, adventurous and dangerous. The U.S. Coast Guard reports that there were 6,419 recreational boating accidents reported in 2001.
Erie Insurance's Boat Protector Policy safeguards your boat, boating equipment and accessories. It also protects you with liability and medical payments coverage.
Features include:
- A choice of comprehensive coverage (all losses except those specifically excluded) or named perils coverage (losses specifically named in the policy) for your boat, trailer and accessories.
- $500 boating equipment and accessory coverage provided at no additional cost.
- Financial protection from bodily injury to swimmers, water skiers or passengers in your boat or another boat.
- Liability protection against damage to another person's boat or boat dock.
- $250 emergency towing (per occurrence) to the nearest marina if your boat is stranded or disabled on the water.
- $500 coverage for personal effects (clothing, fishing equipment, radios, cameras, etc.) caused by an insured peril.
- $500 to recharge or replace a fire extinguisher after it's been used to fight a covered fire.
- Reasonable expenses covered for your help in the investigation or defense of a claim or suit.
- Uninsured boaters protection in the event of an accident with a non-insured boater.
Inland Marine An Inland Marine Policy from Erie Insurance is designed to protect specific property with broader coverage than a HomeProtector policy. Coverage can be written on an all-risk, open-perils or named perils. Special policy floaters can cover a variety of items such as fine art, furs, jewelry, electronic equipment and more.
